Sam Coupe

Was a British home computer and was released in 1989, It was originally manufactured by Miles Gordon Technology (MGT).

The thing (apart from the fact it was a great computer in its own right) was that it was also to a greater extent ZX Spectrum compatible. Many of the classic Spectrum games were enjoyed by Sam Coupe owners as well!

The Sam is almost as well known for its manual and mascot Sam the Robot, as it is for itself, and was devised by the games legend Mel Croucher and drawn by his partner in crime Robin Evans.

Whilst not massively commercially successful, the Sam Coupe is still alive and supported by several fan groups, and is a much loved British computer icon still
